The journal of IAPS, jIAPS, is the annual publication of the International Association of Physics Students. It contains scientific articles, event reports from our member committees and any news of interest to our members. Some articles will be chosen based on our annual article contest, which is open to all and are judged on the ability to communicate. The journal is organised and run by an editor, namely a physics student who wants to volunteer and make jIAPS the great publication it has always been!
The editor’s job will be to coordinate with the PR manager and other volunteers to assemble the 2020 edition. This will include incorporating the results of the article contest, creating graphics, general typesetting and pulling it all together! It also includes promoting jIAPS through its social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) and also maintaining its website.
If you are interested in running for the jIAPS editor or for volunteering to be a part of IAPS’s PR subbie in general, please email email@example.com. Please include a letter of motivation (a page), brief statement about your vision and aims as jIAPS Editor, and a copy of your CV (2 pages). If you would like more info on what it’s like to be involved in the workings of IAPS please email as well.
The call for the jIAPS Editor is open until the 17th of December.
Applicants will be invited to participate in the EC Meeting on the 29th of December.
A decision will be announced shortly after that meeting.
